MINUTES OF OUR LAST MEETING
Minutes
of June 21, 2008 The
meeting was called to order by President, Brady Crist. Brian
Bennett, the Vice President of the Eastern Gold Prospector’s Association was
introduced. Announcements:
(1) The N.C. Outing is cancelled due to the increased costs for the Outing
and the low number of sign-ups. (2) The next meeting will be at the Frank
Gray property in Clarkstown. The directions are on the web site, or you
can talk to one of the officers or other members if you don’t have
access to a computer. The
Secretaries and Treasurer’s reports were read and approved. Old
Business: (1) There will be a Chinese auction on Saturday, July 19th.
Anyone who has cool whip containers and/or items to donate for the
auction, please bring them on Friday if possible. Remember-only nice,
usable items please. Also item for men as well. (2)
Tables-We will need 10 tables. Linda will check if we can borrow them from
her church again this year. (3) Common-we still need to decide how we will
run it this year. Brady will meet with Dean to set it up. (4) Volunteer
needed for
the kid’s games etc.-Henry will set up gold panning for the kids.
(5)There will be Bingo for nuggets, Duck Races, panning contests, metal
detector hunts both Sat. and Sunday. (5)Dave
Cupina is setting up a Treasure Hunt for Saturday into Sunday AM. (6)An
agenda will be put on the web site when it becomes available. (7)There
will be activities Friday night and hot dogs and beans will be provided by
the Club. (8)Tom
Confer will not be able to do the cooking this year. Connie, Janie, Liz
and Pricilla will be doing it, but they will also need some volunteers. Also,
Tom can’t continue to do the store so we will need another volunteer. If
you are interested, please talk to Wayne.
In the interim, Wayne will take the goods to his home. New
Business: Eastern Gold Prospector’s Association-Brian gave an in-depth
talk concerning the Organization.
Information will be on our web site. The raffles were held and the meeting adjourned for the potluck. Respectfully
