PA Prospectors A Chapter of EGPA
Minutes of May 16, 2009
The
meeting was opened by Vice President Don Schmidt.
Announcements:
(1) The June meeting will be held at the Montour Delong Fairgrounds. (2) The
July and August meetings will be at the Frank Gray property in Clarkstown. There
will be panning tubs set up for today and the club is giving each person who
signed in a free $5.00 bag of panning dirt. (3) Shirts and hats with the new
logo are available in the club store. (4) Ben Vaughn from EGPA gave an update
about the DEP permit and also announced that the Association now has a new
property in Knoxville, PA. This is close to the New York border. He and Kathy
are going up to see it this weekend.
The
Secretaries and Treasurer’s reports were read and approved. The agenda for the
July outing was also read.
OLD
Business: (1) our non-profit
status-nothing new to report. (2) July outing committees-Committee members are
reminded that they need to be planning their activities. Linda has the list of
the people who volunteered for the various committees. (3) July outing
agenda-Committees should review the draft agenda and provide comments.
The agenda will be finalized at the June meeting. (4f) EGPA outings-one
will be held the last weekend in June in Virginia and the second one will be the
last weekend in July in York.
NEW
Business: None.
The
Raffle drawings were held. The meeting was adjourned. Gold panning will be done
after the Potluck.
